    i cant find where to set a shutter delay on the 30d? :wtc:


    looking thru the manual and i cant find anything

    1. Look on the top part of your camera on the right side. Press the black Drive-ISO button.

    The top LCD changes to a mode where you can change ISO and the 'drive'.

    2. Turn the wheel that is just behind your shutter button (the button that takes the picture).

    You will see that the icon on the right side of the top LCD will change. This is your drive status icon. It tells you how you have set your drive.

    3. Turn it so that the icon looks like a clock.

    4. Press the shutter button. Your camera will now take a picture in ten seconds.

    ....10 seconds, unless you have "mirror lockup" selected as ON. In which case it will be a 2 second timer. A very handy feature when you just want long enough to get your hands off the camera for a tripod shoot. This seems to be an undocumented "feature" in firmware 1.0.5.
