I've acquired an old HP A1497B 17" monitor and I would like to connect it up and use it. It has a sub-15 connector but only 6 wires (R+, Rgnd, G+, Ggnd, B+, Bgnd) (component video?)

The monitor starts up, but isn't viewable because obviously it can't sync to the signal. Any ideas?

I've tried (in Windows) 60Hz, 70Hz, 72, 85 and all the others, and no luck :( It won't even display DOS text mode :(

Here are some pics of the beast itself:

It starts up and has an image, but it rolls :( It doesn't have any adjustments except the brightness/contrast on the front. No other knobs at all :(

OK, I found out a bit more about it. It uses "Sync on Green" mode :dunno:
