I have game I would like to install, but the problem is that the file I got off of a torrent is a 4.3 gig CD image file.

I would burn this to a CD, but I don't have a CD that can hold 4.3 gigs (is that even possible? maybe on a DVD?).

So how exactly do I run a CD image file? or do I need some kind of utility that can read the file as if it was an actual CD?

    Thanks for any help.

I'm looking at the reviews right now...it looks like it is a range of things, not just for image files? Sounds good...but they say it it has a lot of adware on it. I guess that is the price to pay.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on what exactly daemon tools is?

Edit: Forgot to add a thank you.....Thanks HipHopHead

it's just software that can be used to make a virtual drive. that is what you need. it probably does more than that but that's all i've ever used it for.

personally i use alcohol 120% to make virtual drives right now.

DaemonTools is free and the last I check the "adware" it comes with is GoogleToolbar and Desktop which you can choose to not install. But then it has been a while since I've bothered with it. You can go to filehippo.com and get version 3.47 http://filehippo.com/download_daemon_tools/236/ which doesn't have any of that to worry about.

Alcohol120% is not free but also does a lot more and can create more virtual drives than DaemonTools' 4 (or so last I checked DT was limited to 4). A120 can also create and burn images as well.
I also like it's system integration, just right-click on an image and un/mount it without having to open A120.

I downloaded both, and alcohol 120% seemed a bit easier to use, so I went with it, and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it a lot.

Now I just need to figure out which porn I have to delete to make room for a 4+ gig game....hm.... :noes:

+1 on Alcohol 120%. I've been using it for about 4 years now and it has always treated me good!
