what do I need to do to start racing? I'm comfortable on the highways and curvy roads; i feel I can I can move on my 750cc on the race track for practice. do i need a m1 licence for a racing licence?

No, but you need an M1 to ride on the street, which you apparently are already doing. When you get pulled, you'll get your bike impounded.

Do a trackday or two first.

start doing trackdays. not sure if you're required by the providers to have insurance, the law doesn't care since it's a private course but their insurance might.

after a couple trackdays see how fast you think you are.

dont even begin to think you know how to ride.

you dont need a motorcycle license to ride on a track, its not a public road
you dont need a race license for track days either, only if you are racing in an organization, like AFM (where i race) or WERA, or USGPRU, AMA, all that nonsense. no credentials required for a trackday

depending where you are, and what track, they will vary between $150-400 for a day of riding.

put good tires on, and warm yourself up.
    ur not valentino rossi
take it easy and focus on being smooth, not being fast.

also btw, i race these things so i have an idea what im talking about

I misspoke in my post, I meant that their insurance might require you to have a license. I know it does for PCA AutoX, which also isn't on a public road.

Most people that think they're fast on the street do a track day and get utterly destroyed.

Then they do a bunch of track days and think they're fast...then go club racing and get destroyed.

Then they do a bunch of club racing and winning one or two, they think they're fast, so they go up to a national series...and get destroyed.

The overwhelming majority of people don't make it past step 1.
