I just bought a new Onkyo TX-SR303 to replace my old Technics reciever since I broke it. But now I cant get this receiver to go through my EQ like my old one.

On the Technics all I had to do was hit the "CD" button then hit "Tape Monitor" so the audio from the CD channel would go through the EQ.

But on the Onkyo if I hit tape... I get no sound.

Also to add. The EQ's spectrum anylizer is working when I hit CD. But when I hit Tape it shows nothing.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like I screwed myself with this receiver. Ive been reading up and it seems these new digital receivers dont mesh well with EQ's.

I guess if I wanted I would have to run each and every one of my components through the EQ individually. Which is way more a pain in the ass then it needs to be.

No tape monitor... I didnt even think to look into that when looking for a new receiver. Yay for me.
