I have a refurbished LG9800 I just received from my extended warranty company, and I'm getting a new phone soon with a 2yr plan.

What do I need to do in order to sell my old phone? I want to make sure the new user can't use my account info, and they can get it on their phone system.

Turn it on and try dialing a number. If it won't connect it hasn't been activated on your ESN yet, and you're good to go. If you are currently using it, you just need to activate another ESN on that line before the vx9800 will be released.

What livesideways said is correct, and i would add that you should make sure you wipe the memory of the 9800 as well before it leaves your hands. Its kind of a no-brainer, but i figured i'd say it anyways.

I am not familiar with the 9800, but there isn't always a command to actually wipe the memory. You may have to do it manually, mainly just delete your contacts, calendar appointments, etc.
