How to reset a laptop bios pw?

    i set this password years ago. I dont know what it is. I think i need to edit my memory setting in bios as i just doubled my memory and it is not showing up in windows as such..

    You shouldn't to get into the BIOS to change anything when you add RAM. Maybe its not compatible.

    you probably used double-sided ram when only single sided was compatible.

    Not really. Removing the CMOS battery will not reset it. Look for a pair of jumpers either in the battery compartment or near the wireless card and short them for about 30 seconds and reboot.
