Step one: Install one NIC on each computer.

Step two: Follow r00tman's steps (although I would use a simpler address for each machine like 192.168.200.1 and 192.168.200.2 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0)

Step three: Put each computer a generic workgroup titled 'WORKGROUP' or whatever you want it to be (just ensure it's the same on both computers).

You should be good to go.
