A&P how to light a portrait like this?

    want to do a classic looking B&W portrait, how would I light this?

    it looks like a softened light from slightly above with another hard light slightly behind

    Do it like you set up the poppers on your car, except use bounce flash instead of direct flash.

    looks like 2 lights. a hard light directly over camera high pointing down, and on behind him camera right.....

    don't you get some special discount from http://www.aafes.com/ ?

    I've heard ppl getting the 5dmkii for about 2k brand new using their military id. :dunno:

    no, the prices are pretty much the same, just don't have to pay sales tax

    they have it listed for $2,549.00
