I know you guys that have been working out for a long time it has become just part of your daily life to hit the gym. But for those of us trying to restart going, what's the best way to keep motivated?

On those rough days at work, how do you force yourself to get to the gym?

That's my only downfall and i really want to stick with it now that i've found a gym i like.

the thought that there's some little girl in China out lifting me :o

seriously, self betterment. for some that betterment comes with lifting heavier weights, for some its bigger muscles and others its reduced body fat

Always get your clothes ready for the gym
    Set some goals
    Look in the mirror
Put out your protein so its ready when you get back
Theres a million different ways you just have to push yourself.

You just gotta look at going the right way. Don't look at it as a chore or something that takes too much time out of your busy day.

Look forward to going all day, and just know that you will hate yourself if you don't go. If you are dedicated, you should see results eventually, and that is easily used for motivation. When I see some improvement, I tell myself that its a result of going to the gym last month. So I know that if I want to look better 30 days from now, I need to go today.

Also, go when you plan on going...no detours or distractions. DO NOT say "I just wanna sit down on the couch for 15 mins then I'll go." That has fail written all over it.

It's fun.. I actually ENJOY lifting and eating towards my goals

Plus, hardly anyone could say they look in the mirror and there's nothing they want to change

Just keep pushing yourself. Eventually I got to the point where I only felt good if I made it to the gym. I'm struggling to make it right now cause of school and work and that just makes me want to go even more.

It took me 6 months to mentally make it part of my routine and not something I do after work.

If you have a small penis use that for motivation.

wow lots of responses while i was out at lunch.

I've noticed i have to pack my gym clothes in the car and go right from work, if i stop at home before i'll never get there.

Making a routine that you NEVER deviate from unless it's a huge emergency helps a lot too. When I was working I went to the gym strait from work every time.

I just think of how jacked and tan I am and I get the urge to go to the gym and get my swell on. Fuckin vascularity like you wouldn't believe, I'm untouchable, my wheels could be polyurethane or my batteries could be lithium ion, whatever it is its gonna be dope, thats how I kick it
