I bought an OEM pioneer dvr-109 dvd burner from newegg.com and need assistance on installing the burner. I installed the hardware drive as master but the drive didn't come with any software for the install or any software programs that allow me to burn dvds. What do I need to do to install the hardware and burn dvds?

Go to Pioneer's website and download the drivers you need. Then go buy a copy of Nero Burning ROM, and you should be good to go.

    You do not need drivers.

first of all, did you change the jumper settings to master or cable select? make sure the power supply is on.. does the drive power up? ie. lights, can open try. detect in BIOs?
nero should be included... but you can always get some free dvd programs like DVD Shrink, VSO DivXtoDVD, DVD Decrypter etc..
