I had my upper-ear cartilage pierced 5-6 years ago and decided to get rid of it last summer. It kelioded slightly when I pierced it and it occasionally flaired up since then. Last summer I decided I was tired of it and haven't worn a hoop in it since. My problem is that it still occasionally bothers me. For instance, last night my upper ear started throbbing, and when I lightly touched it, puss popped out.

I know that cartilage can never regrow, but I thought that it would be healed more than this after 7 months with no jewelry in. Is there anything I can do to help it heal permenantly?

Dog spit...? Dunno about that..maggots eat dead stuff, but do you want them in your ear??? Just keep it clean and maybe use an anti bacterial ointment.. One of my nipple was slightly infected from dirty buffalo horn rings. I switched to stainless and kept it clean..no more probs.

Is it really that hard to actually type out entire words? Does it really take up that much more energy? :hsugh:

What's the point of coming into the Body Mods forum to post this?
