Sorry I don't know where else to post this, but during the winter or when it turns cold, my hair gets really static-y. I can't brush my hair without it looking like I just rubbed a balloon on my head. I think it's because it's dry. I blow-dry my hair straight and use a straightener, so my hair gets dried out. (I still use a heat protection product in my hair before I do that though.) Anyway, do you have a way that I can fix this? It's really annoying.

Try shampooing your hair less and letting your natural oils build up, should weigh it down a little better.

This might seem like a silly question, but i know a couple of people who don't so this, but do you use a conditioner after you shampoo? (2 in 1's are no good!). I've noticed when i've been stuck and had to wash my hair without using a conditioner after, my hair's gotten alot of static, and a few friends have said the same over the years.

Yeah I use conditioner after I shampoo. I've only tried a 2 in 1 once, and I didn't like it.

Makes sense but... I actually wash my hair every other day because I don't want it to get too damaged from blow-drying/straightening it every day.

 Well it wouldn't hurt to try it.
