can someone teach me how to make one of those scripts that can search a whole bunch of search engines at once and display the combined results in one page, without 3rd party APIs? something like scrapetorrent?

so i create a page with a form that POSTs some data, such as login information, or search queries. i hit submit, it sends to http://server/doit.php and what I want to see is the data that is returned from the server, but in my own configuration. basically i dont want to see doit.php. rather, i want to extract the data given by doit.php (name, picture, links, etc), and then display that data in my own way.

    am i confusing you...?

Create a form with all the data you want.

    Send it to the server.

On the server, parse the form and get the arguments. Send out requests to all the search engines you want.

Compile the results, and return a page to the client.

Am I confusing you? If so, get a book on web application development.

Don't forget to validate the input for security.

Alternatively you could do it all via AJAXificationization and serve a static page, saved on your filesystem even.
