How to edit program from TI calculator

I downloaded some programs from the internet for my TI-89 calculator. however the function call were too long and complicated to input from the calculator keyboard (example: lap_inv(~) -> this function does the inverse laplace transform). So i want to edit the program a bit to make the call shorter, such as lapi(~) for the fuction above. Does anyone know whatprogram i should use to do the editing?
    thansk

    you should not do that...

If you download TI programs, then get a TI transfer cable, and you can send them from your computer directly to the calculator.

because he'll fuck it up... There is ZERO reason to edit the file... Just upload the god damn thing and stop worrying about it.
