how to convert vhs to dvd

    my parents have a lot of old home videos from vacations and christmas's and stuff and i was wondering whats the best and easiest way to convert them to dvd on the pc?

    we dont have a vcr anymore but i can get one easy so what all should i know?

    Get a tv/video capture device.
    You can use an internal PCI card or an external USB device. Just a guess but I think either way the average price is about $40-50.

    I looked into this... found a nice looking Hauppage external capture device for like $100. I didnt end up getting it... not really ready for that project yet.

    make sure you get one that captures video and audio
