Does anyone know how to change the default folder look? Im not just talkin about one folder. I know how to do that. But for every folder in my entire HD. I have some cool icons i downloaded and i was getting tired of the default folder look. I changed the important folders like Video, photo etc just by the copy and paste method. but for every sub folder, i want to have a different icon for them.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

you want to just change the icon?
Find an icon you want to use (resexcellence use to be a great place for icon sets).
Open the "Get Info" and click on the icon in that window. Copy
Open the "Get Info" on the folder you want to change and click it's icon. Paste

This also works on HDDs as well. Not CD discs. I'm not sure about removable drives (usb thumb drives). I would think this would also work on USB/Firewire external HDD drives.

I'm sure there is a way to change all of the default icons the system uses (maybe opening the Contents of the Finder, just a guess) but I'm not sure.
