Okay, just to keep from being fade fun of too much, I'll present my excuse. You can make fun of me a little for not having a clue, but try and be reasonable.

I'm a first year AFROTC cadet.(that being said I have a fairly large bag of mistakes) We are having a combat dining in and I have to wear BDUs. First problem: my dad who was enlisted AF for 20 years is currently in TX on business. Second problem; nobody has taught us how to blouse our BDU pants. What I need help with: How to blouse BDU pants. My dad gave me a little bit of info over the phone, but I don't have a clue, so pics would be greatly appreciated.

I bought my own pair instead of borrowing a set from one of the upper classmen. being able to buy stuff from military Clothing Sales=:bigthumb:.

final question, would I look like a jackass in a set of paratrooper boots and no jump wings?

boot band = blousing band = stretchable band that you use to blouse the legs of your pants.

And for the instructions above, fold them to the outside. You will be tucking the hem of the leg inside the band. So the leg will go down, under/around the band, and back up inside, which will then = a bloused uniform. :wiggle:

The husband does it this way.. HE has an open ended hairthing lookin thingee with hooks its green and the cats usally go digging in his boots for it to batt around the house.. he puts on his pants and then his boots then pulls his pantlegs down over the boots. Then he grabs the blousing straps from the outside of his pants and folds the extra pant under the strap.

omfg worst thread ever....don't let your strings hang out. don't wrap your shoe laces around your boot, tuck them, wide blousing straps are useless unless you want to spend an hour trying to peg your pants. cuff stuffers are for fags. that is all.

whow... i always blouse with pants on. I hike up the pant leg a bit, put the strap on, and let the pant leg down. grab the strap behind the pants, and tuck. really easy.

a set of jump boots on an airman looks silly period. and anyone that would cause themselves the pain of wearing them while not being stationed at fort bragg/fort richardson/italy is a moron. save your feet and wear something comfortable.

it I think you're overthinking it. When you go to basic, you will be introduced to the "do right now with zero instruction" method of training. Believe it or not, you can actually figure out a lot of stuff real fast with a little motivation.

cliffs: just do it already. :ugh:

I've got a plan for how I wanna do it.

I'm gonna put one of the bands on my leg and then make my first fold so the band is resing on the hem. this will give me a good point to base everything else off of. Then I'll roll to the inside and then when I get them where I want them I'll drop trou and put a blousing band around the folds that I made.

GMC cadets aren't allowed to roll their sleeves. you have to graduate field training to do that. The only reason I know how to roll sleeves is when our captain was showing one of the POCs how.

I was figuring on looking like a jakass in paratrooper boots and a lack of jump wings. I'm just gonna have to blouse my pants right so they can't tell that I'm wearing flight boots(having a prior military dad=awesome). Military clothing didn't have shit for combat boots. I was looking for full leather(paratrooper boots were one of the few pairs that were full leather) The other's didn't look like what the rest of the corps has so I didn't bother. I wonder if GMCs can wear jungle boots.....

I might have to try that way also. it sounds faster. better for early morning Lead labs(such a misleading name).
