My uncle worked on a house that had an old bank vault door installed in it
Wow, pretty sweet.
1,000 sq/ft damn that's bigger than my last apartment. That's not a gun vault that a wait out the zombies room.
That or its really a pot growing room, now way that would show up on thermal imaging.
Nice little closet that guy has.
Hmmm. Where can a guy get a bank vault door?
An old bank branch that's about to be torn down ... or a bank equipment dealer.
I used to work for a bank equipment dealer/manufacturer in TX. Perhaps they can hook you up if you're willing to drop some real money. They almost always had some surplus inventory lingering around. If not a vault, then some serious safes that scoff at the relatively minor events that would fuck up your average gun safe. I remember that 4'x4'x8' and 4'x8'x8' safes (~1" plate construction) are losing popularity in the market and can often be had for the cost of removal since modular vaults are getting cheap along with smaller specialized secure undercounter cabinetry.
pictures of my house being built, let me show you them.
Oneof my friends bought a couple of bank vault doors that were being sold off when a bank closed down. They built some badass walk in safes around those doors.
Naw, naked gun room....
one of my friends parents house has an old vault.used to be a bank back in the old days.
