Just installed a new Stock without using any special tools. I plan on staking it but how tight do I need it first? Hand tight, medium tight, or near striped out tight?

Hand tight should hold up for a bit. Just keep an eye on the thing. But you might as well spend a couple bucks and buy the wrench.
