if you happen to have the tool from a wolf spam can, i'm sure it'd work too. other than that i'd say maybe pull that tab and it'll rip the metal.

As CS said I think those pop open like a paint can, try prying under the rim of the top, or as was said use a wolf opener.

My first ammo can of the 7.63x54R I tried pulling the tab and it ripped off so I ended up breaking two can openers. Then came out the dremel and that worked.

My second can I pulled the tab with some needle nose pliers just to get it started then I peeled the rest with my hand.

There ought to be a meteal tab ob the side that needs to be pulled up or already up. Stick that tab in the key slot and start twisting. Takes all of a minute to accomplish.

The fewer people eating meat out of a can, the better the world is.

It says not to use as a food container. I thought old military surplus containers were perfect for heating up a can of soup. :o

    Yummy!
I love the taste of melted lead solder.

Actually considering how old the ammo is, I am surprised they even bothered to warn anyone.

Bingo....there should be a small metal tab, usually on one of the top corners. Place this tab into the hole in the opener/ key and start twisting.

i dont know either. I got some polish stuff, they dont even have those tabs on it. I tore into the edge of the top with a chisel (SLOW, shallow, and make sure there is cardboard underneath) with a flat chisel, then peeled away half of it and pulled hte ammo out that side. Again. CAREFULLLLLLY.
