I'm running XP on my laptop and I can't get this damn s video to show my current desktop. All I can get is a extension of it off to either side. How do I get it just to show my desktop? Thanks!

you should be able to set it to be an extension or a mirror by going into your display properties (right click on desktop, select properties), to to the settings tab and click on the advanced button. Another window will pop-up and you should have a tab for displays or monitors or something similar - click on that. You should see a little pic of your monitor and a pic of a TV with some settings.
