i was deadlifting 2 weeks ago and in the middle of the pull i felt a pop in my right ham. it hurt enough so that i couldnt finish my set and have taken 2 weeks off from deadlifting.

days after it would hurt just stretching it. im not sure how to classify this minor injury.

what kind of warm up should i be doing?

my warmup has consisted of 5 minutes of walking and then just pulling light weight to get warm

My doctor recomended starting with low weight, and increase load up to whatever you want to actually work with.

ive had this same issue, dont do squats or deadlifts for as long as u can hold out. I went right back to it and experienced the same thing over again. I now try to strech a lot more.
