I am looking to get an early 90's one... How are they? How easy are they to work on? Any other info is great. Thanks!

theyre incredibly reliable if you take care of them, but get a 91-93 if you want a DOHC, 89-90 for SOHC

they are ridiculously reliable. Pretty easy to work on compared to a 300zx or any other Nissan. There is lots of extra room in the engine compartment.

I had a 98 for 2 years (back BEFORE everyone got a hard on for them  ) and it was great. Bought it at 43,xxx miles and traded it in on a shiny new WRX at 75,xxx. Never had a problem.

I prefer the coupes to the hatches for more technical reasons :hs:

the silvia front end is growing on me, its about the only way i like the coupes now, and ive seen it on the hatch a couple times where it looked  but theres just something about seeing smooth flowing lines and better aerodynamics while they are down :o

i have to agree too, after owning both a fastback and a coupe i like the coupe a lot more. only thing i miss about the fastback is the extra space, you can haul a lot more then it look like you can. otoh the coupe is much more rigid in the rear.

Leave it to taste. Hatch if you're like the style and/or want space, coupe if you like the style and/or want chassis ridgidity
