    Specificaly 1999 750 iL ?

Easily found for around 25-30k with 40-50k miles.

Will the repair cost rape me in the ass down the line? How much per year are we talking about?

    do you need the V-12???

as a whole, reliable, but the little parts are what break and fall apart, small electrical stuff too

Not the question of "need" but more of "want" :hs:

Good to hear that they are reliable. Small stuff is fixable inhouse.

the v12's tend to have more problems than the v8's.

mostly electrical issues , but the thing about the v12's is that when something goes wrong, it goes wrong BIG, and costs a TON to fix

more V8s out there means cheaper parts, and smaller motor means less moving parts, and better gas milage

yeah.. honestly, the 740 is a better bet unless you really want the performance of the V12

medicore reliabilty.. similar to the MB S-class or A8.
On the other hand, the LS430, Q45, and RL are all very reliable, but dont have the engineering and driving experience of the germans. your pick

    overall
not very reliable at all compared to the average Japanese vehicle. Simiarly reliable as most domestics but the difference is that parts and service is a lot more complicated and a LOT more expensive.
