I've never really had owned a domestic SUV in the past. So I was just curious how reliable/dependable they are.

So feel free to give your thoughts/opinions/rants/whatever about them

    Thanks :bigthumb:

The only provblem I've really heard of with that generation Grand Cherokee is some transmission trouble. Not sure what exactly just remember hearing about it.

BTW, this is not the main forum where someone posts every 1.298 seconds.

Most of the Problems in the ZJ Cherokees are

    CV Boots in the Quadratrac
Wires to the doors (Passenger and driver) get pinched and worn out over time and usually causes the motors to quit working.
    Brake Rotors warp pretty easily.

Other than that I have not had much problems out of my 98 ZJ, it has the 318 5.2 V8 in it also.

Check here and look up to see what kind of recalls they had and what TSB's are out for it.
