Everyone keeps telling me only do them once in my three-day-routine. Which consists of 5 sets of bicep curls. I know you work your bicepts doing other exercises, but once or twice per week doing one routine of curls doesnt seem enough to me, you do 5 or so different excersises on your chest. :hs:

I do bar curls, i used to use free weights but found my posture is better like this. I'll try out the hammer curls on my next session.

Ill say this before anyone else does....just doing heavy back work will be sufficient for someone new to lifting (or someone without much of base). From there, you can integrate a few sets of curls here and there if you like.

I don't think im too the level of doing pull ups yet. But, i do, do rows... So i guess the bicep is getting used in every routine.

But the curls feel like there getting the most benefit, you feel the burn when you do the proper sets of bicep curls.

Currently, using the bar, i do:

    1 set - 12 reps - 50 pounds of weights.
    1 set - 10 reps - 55 pounds of weights
    1 set - 8 reps - 60 pounds of weights
    1 set - 12 reps - 55 pounds of weights.

In truth i proberbly do more, more like 45 minutes worth of high intensity. But i try to do it like strength exercises, with 100m quickly, then rest, then 100m quickly etc.
