Hmm.. sunglasses, ranger hat, he sure seems to know what he's doing. [krott, ignore the goddamn XD.] But what the fuck is this stance?

Ok, here we go, the buddy's trying it.. nice weaver stance, but the booger hook is in the wrong place, so no.

"Sven, this is my Brokeback Mountain pose..."

    And the results:

Do you honestly think that as a US Marine, I would:

    1) own an S&W that isn't a revolver

    2) leave my finger on the trigger

    3) dress like a Brokeback Mountain walkon reject

    4) willingly associate with anyone named Sven

    ?

I have this tendency to put my support hand index finger over the tip of the trigger guard also. But I usually notice it after the first shot.

i never did get the "lean back" type stance. How is that comfortable?

Guess people feel it's more stable to lean back to keep your COM over your feet instead of leaning into the shooting... Any big recoil gun they'll have slow 2nd shot times.

The pregnant-lady-lean is common amongst inexperienced shooters. It gives them a feeling of stability when not shooting, since their arms are extended in front of them, putting them off balance when their knees are locked.

  16. its not realistic in a gun fight though

I don't think these geniuses are cruising for a gunfight anytime soon. When was the last time you heard about a shootout at a gay bar?

Wait, this is a bad thing? I do this all the time and always thought it was proper. I've never heard/read anything to say otherwise. I always thought it was preference thing.

And why type of S&W is 'Sven' holding? Sigma? Or maybe an M&P? I can't tell from this picture.

Sigma SW9VE I think.. this alphabet naming game is gay.

It's not that it's bad per se, Shackle or foot will correct me if I'm wrong on that.. its more that it's pointless. No support offered, so your finger is better served maintaining a regular support hand grip.

All it takes if one little twitch and you will miss your target. I use my support had like a clamp.

    Clamp in action

The fiirst time my dad saw me shoot like that he :slap:'d me. When i shoot like that, after the shot my finger pops off of the trigger guard and I have to reset it. He just told me that if i got comfortable and accurate like that, in a defensive situation I might not think or have time to reset my finger. Causing me to be uncomfortable and less accurate. At the time I told him to piss off, but it did kinda make sense. So I stopped doing it. :o

Hey, have you heard from Dave lately? Neither Wayne nor anyone else has gotten any return traffic from him when trying to reach him lately. Did Hadji send assassins to hunt him down or something?

By the way, for those of you that just watched that video, that was slow shooting for that man, and he probably made a group smaller than your pecker (which is pretty damn small).
