I recognize the tigerdirect font lol. It'd be a pretty good deal for 700-850 but for almost $1500, it's definitely not worth it.

I guess even if you paid up to $1k, it would still be a good deal. But now that there are better graphics cards and boards out there i wouldnt pay much more then that

TigerDirect is selling it for $1,489.99. I think I'll see what I can get similar parts for separately and then try building it myself, if it will save me a decent amount of money.

Unless your doing hardcore gaming or graphics, you really dont need all of that. 6gb ram, the new gtx 270, and that processor would be fine.
But that depends on what your going to do with it

    $830..........it's in bestbuy and I won't pay shipping, so now it's $800.

The "gaming keyboard and optical mouse" in your add that weren't listed in the first post are about $50 and $20, so there's $70 off and now it's down to $730.

I still wouldn't buy it for that, but $700 isn't such a stretch now, huh?

And you paid $720 for your i5 in october..............a million (pc) years ago?

Curious why the computer posted by the OP is only setup for dual channel...

wtf I'm taking about is that $830 price tag has $100 worth of stuff that's not a computer tacked onto the price tag, so it's really $730.

and even at $730, I woudln't buy it.

Intel decided to change to dual channel because they "see memory prices are on the rise" according to an online live broadcast last night at Intel Retail Edge. The i3 and i5 are all Dual, and the i7860 is as well (as it's built on the 32nm technology that it's sister processors are built on). Honestly, I would rather have the triple channel (as I do with my i7 920). Also, 8GB has no real use, 6GB is just fine (and still overkill).
