Im needing a website done for my insurance agency, it would contain a simple about us page, the companies we represent, contact info, and a quoting system for progressive most likely, and a secure page where people could input thier info and it sends it directly to our email for a quote. Prices?

I was quoted at 1100 for a local designer to make it

    $1100 is pretty reasonable.

1100 isn't too far off but it depends on what he is doing.

1100 sounds pretty good... guys I know down here wouldn't touch a project like that for less than $2000

You're kidding, right? I can get a nice site design done for you in the $200-$300 range. Possibly another $200 for the programming.

I'd charge around $1100 also. Seems pretty reasonable.

I guess it would depend on what exactly is involved in the online quoting system for Progressive. If they have a "canned" solution that you simply need to build into your website, or if its 100% hand coded project. If its simple, then the price range everyone is saying $800-1200 is probably a fair price...

but if its more complicated, expect to spend twice that or more.

i know progressive has a little quote thing on some sites, where ppl enter thier basic info and it gives them a quick quote, for more in depth quotes people would need to submit all thier info (SS, DL #, DOB) via a secure page that would email it to me
