Its from florida, no rust. 4 Cylinder, 5 speed, new soft top, new clutch, 120k miles, new speakers and cd player. It is going to need new tires soon. I know the 4 cylinder isn't the best, but I probably can get it for a really good deal. How much would one like this be worth typically?

    $2000 tops

the 4cyl is awesome for offroading, just noisy and wound out on the highway and worse mpg than the I6

I am having a hard time finding any for that cheap in the good condition with no rust. Anyone have some links to some in this price range? I am not saying you guys are wrong, I would just like to see some to compare them to the one I have access to.

Im saying what I would pay for one. IMO a 4cyl isn't worth much. The 6 is where its at.

6cyl Wranglers that are stock go for 3-4k here.

Perhaps I should have said $1500 would be a "good deal"

Good luck finding any Wrangler or CJ in good condition for less than $2000.

Buy the 4 cyl and swap in a V8.

I am going to get the 4 cylinder and just drive it for a little bit. I have wanted to get a jeep for a while so I can settle with this for now. I am not going to be doing any extreme offroading for now anyways.

Anyone have some recommendations for tires for this? I have always like BFG All-Terrains, but was wondering if there are any slightly cheaper that will be good. Whats the biggest I can go without rubbing?

the AT K/Os are great, i have them on a 98 XJ

my wrangler, no lift, has 31x10.5xr15, and there is no rub. im pretty sure that's as big as you can get without minor rubbing. if you are offroad and have articulation then they can rub (i mean, serious articulation and be turned to the stops)

Don't get a 4cyl, trust me unless you like no power, 8-10mpg, and a top speed of 70mph.

    Not the 4cyl jeep.
I am telling you from experience. My friend's 4cyl jeep with 31" AT KO's got worse gas mileage than even his Dad's F150 King Cab F150.
He never got above 10mpg no matter what.
So you thinking you're going to get better gas mileage with the jeep, think again.

I have a 4 cylinder jeep. I get 20-22mpg on average....same as about my 6 litre V8 in my other car but I didn't buy it for gas mileage anyways.

    I haven't gone faster than 80mph in it...no need to, it's a jeep. Mine is a 2005 though.

4cyl, 3.0 v6 and 4.0 v6 rangers all get about the same MPG.

Small engines in brick-like vehicles is a joke.

The 4.0 V6 in the ranger is ftw. 250hp stock. The other 4cyl and 3.0 v6 suck.
