I squat about 225*5 below parallel and did lunges for the first time yesterday. I started with 40lbs in each hand and worked up to 60 doing 5*5. I can do more weight but it was still pretty difficult for me. So how much do you guys use? Is 5*5 a good way to train for lunges? Also post your squat numbers for reference. Thanks. And yes I know I'm a lightweight.
