How much stronger is your floor press supposed to be...

    compared to normal flat benchpress?

    Christophers, Cavefish, anyone???

    Today was the first time I tried them.

    pretty close, not much stronger for me atleast, i can get 265x3 floor press, but i have been having trouble with 265 singles.

    Is a 2 sec pause too long, or just right?

    First set I did I had my legs bent and then one of the PT who I've seen been doing westside type suggested to straighten out my leg flat.

    yeah, i do it with legs straight out, i may not be pausiong enough, on the floor press, i will concentrate on that more next time. I have a feeling that i have problems on my bench form, leading it to suck cock, and other weak points.
    it looks like in mostr examples that people are bending the knees... :noes:

    I'm pretty narrow or flatfrom the side... so for someone like me, it'd be understandable if the floor press was easier.

    My floor press is about 30 pounds less than my normal bench.

    If a gym has a reverse hyper, I don't think many people would be :ugh: at those.

    Same here. Hell, i even get weird looks for being one of the few people that don't use the smith machine for squatting.

    i could give less than two shits what the ass hats in my university gym think abiout what i do. i sont pay enough attention t them to notice anyway. they dont want to be powerlifters, and i dont give a fuck.

    mine are weaker.. with heavier weight i have to get a slight lift off

    Did 305 today for 2 reps on the first set and 5 sets of single. Two sets of which I just barely failed doing 2 reps.
