How Much Space Should I Have in a Partition Just for Windows?

    Just for Windows XP?? Around 5 Gigs should be enough. Maybe less.

    I always do a 12 gig partition for Windows and programs.

    This is just for Windows XP.
    I'll have another partition for programs, another for games, and another for my stuff.
    Just got a new comp. :bigthumb:

    Ok, yeah 5 gigs should be more than enough. I think XP leaves around a 2 gig footprint.

    I've used 5 gigs for just XP. It takes up about 2 gigs on it's own plus most programs go an install shit in the system folder that it doesn't necessarily delete when when you uninstall it. Between that and the swap file, you should have enough space.

    Run the swap file on a separate hard drive if you can. :o

    Ah forget it, I'll just leave 20GB for Windows and other programs. 40GB for games, and the 100GB for my shit.

    20 gigs for Windows?? You have multiple people in this thread saying to use 5 gigs for Windows XP. That's all you need man.
