I'm doing a website for real company (furniture/office automation. They have a showroom, offices and the crap. It's not an "online" "company")

Well it's going to be a simple thing, nothing major. About Us, Contact Us, Product page with catalog. Really simple stuff.

So how much would you charge for something like that?

$500-1000... I'm leaning more to the $1000. Do you have a portfolio to show them?

Yea I'm Dubai, and so are they. I do not have a portfolio, as this is my first that I do. I did my own website, and, not to sound too arrogant, they liked it a lot. (The guy gave me the job, so it's not about impressing them. I just need to find the correct price).

$1500 is a bit much, if you ask me. $1000 seems fair, and that's around how much I'm gonna quote :noes:

    Thanks a ton.

BTW, should I use templates to do the job, or should I start from scratch?

Again, I've never done this before, and the website that I did for myself took me ages to do (think MONTHS!)

Shit I gotta bring my skills up to date :noes:

I do all my pages from scratch, but that's just me. I've used FrontPage (way back when), Dreamweaver, and others and never seem to have as much luck as just coding it myself. Of course, my skills are pretty dated since I'm still in the HTML era.

if they are providing everything except for code $1000 is fine. If you have to take pictures etc for the showroom its too little

$1000 is a fair price, I've notice with the random jobs that I get that people will listen to your quote, and then slowly weasel their way into getting more. Be careful with that.

    Product page with catalog?

How many products are in their catalog?

If you're going to have to create an ecommerce solution for them and add all of the product $1k is way too little.
