How much should I be eating per day?

    I'm 5'10, 152lbs

    Not a noob to working out but I've never been able to break 160lbs, over summer I was up to 158. Up until now I havent been counting my calories, i just started and now I realize I'm not eating nearly enough, on good days I get 2500 maybe 3000.

    What do you think I should be eating? I have pretty low BF% and could stand to gain some fat. The last couple days I've been struggling to break 4000 calories. But I bet if I got 5000+ everyday I could break 160lbs this month.

    My long term goal is to be 175/180 cut. Does that mean I should bulk to 190 and then cut?

    I gain about 2 lbs per week eating about 5000, so I would imagine you could at least gain that much at that level of calories. You would probably still grow pretty good at 3500-4000 IMO.

    what about fat/carb/protein percentages? what should i aim for?

    dont over complicate the shit, but
    aim for 1 gram of protein per pound, maybee more
    then eat alot fo carbs and protein

    By that picture i would say you have good genetics for body building. Better than my genetics for sure. I can see the future biggness by your abs, chest and general frame. Eat more real food. Even fast food. I was at 165 6 months ago and now i'm at 185 and looking fatter but at least I'm still getting bigger. Sometimes you have to think gradually and just eat the fattening food everyday and just go lift your current routine and change it up every once in a while. Fast food may be cheating but it works.

    I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and I don't think I'm any authority to give advice and I have no pictures yet. I've only really been lifting for 6 months but got some good advice from a friend and the fast food seems to be giving me the calories I need to break the barrier and gain weight I've never been able to gain before.

    something like 1600 calories? I feel sick
