    Hey guys,

Selling my 12" powerbook g4 (I just bought a 15" 1.67 w/superdrive) and don't know what an appropriate price would be. It is a 1.33GHz with 256MB ram (I can upgrade it to 768MB if you think people will pay at least an additional $50), combodrive, currently running OSX tiger, but the buyer would get Panther CD's. Has some extra software like photoshop, office, but I won't be including the CD's since I want to keep those for myself so that might be a non-issue in terms of price since you can't reinstall if you must format. Cosmetically it is nearly perfect. I dropped the battery pack (not the laptop) and it has an 1/8" ding on the left-side. Other than that it will look brand new when it's cleaned up.

I'll also be including a 12" sleeve that retails for $40, a minidvi to svideo/rca adapter, and all original accessories in the original box.

So, what would be fair? It seems on ebay they go for like $1200 or so used. Oh, and if any of you are interested, feel free to make me an offer.

well, you will never get close to retail... so I'd say $800 TOPS.

Sigh, I'm asking the opinion of mac users, not mac trolls, and they retail for $1500 and the computer is just over half a year old.

    well, I just spec'd a 1.5GHz for under $1.4k It's new, has a warranty, and faster.

you can ask the "mac users" all you want, but the only price that matters is what you end up getting for it.

why don't you make disk images of the software that you don't want to give the disks up so then someone can reinstall them?

I don't think you can always do that with software like office, but I guess I could try.

Do you really do DVD editing, etc? I've never had a situation where I needed to burn a DVD on my laptop.

Would you PLEASE stay out of my threads, just in general? You really are the definition of a troll man. And now you'll respond with "I'm just stating the facts." Good for you, I'm not a little kid who doesn't know such a simple law like software pirating. I'm not some computer noob. I knew I didn't like the people in when I drove through Oregon.

You should be able to get at least a grand for it. I wouldn't go any lower than $950 though.

Because, I bought a brand new 15"! :coolugh: I know it's awesome, and I actually really do not want to get rid of it, but it doesn't make financial sense to hold onto both, ya know?
