How much of a downgrade to go from a E46 M3 to a G37?

My car is an '02 though, 62k miles. The new E92 M3 is already out, price will depreciate like crazy. I'm worry if something goes wrong since it's no longer under warranty.

Fawk I know it's a downgrade but I can't afford the new M3 and the 335i is pretty much out of the question since I already owned an M3. The G37 is pretty nice for the price.

Why is the 335i out of the question because you've owned an 02 M3?? The performance would be a step down with the G37, not the 335i.

G37 has the same horsepower, is more reliable, and has a nicer interior.

Yes I know the 335i is on par with the performance of the E46 M3. In the end I'm still going from an M3 to a 3-series. The main thing is that it's $50k with the options I wanted. That's a lot I have to put in after I sell my car. I'd rather downgrade to a G37 than a 335i. It's weird because in reality it's a upgrade because I have to pay more money.

Yep. I don't like the 335i at all and it's overpriced as hell. New M3 is ridiculous. Lease prices on the G37 are fucking incredible--and like I said it has the exact same power as the E46 M3 and a nicer interior plus more reliability. Seems win/win to me. Only other car I'm considering is the A5/S5 but their lease rates are nowhere near as attractive as Infiniti's.

I am thinking about going from my 01' M3 to an 02' + M5. I went for a test drive with my buddy in a new 2 door altima fully loaded and was shocked at how terribly boring the car was. We checked out the g37 (out of his price range) but the car felt bloated overall considering how small the inside was.

Have you considered anything outside of the g37?

We think exactly the same. I recently just saw the lease rate on the G37 and seems like everyone is getting them at invoice or below. I really like the 335i though but it costs too much.
