Friend of mine has a Savage bolt action in .270 Winchester that I might shoot this weekend. Ive never shot anything above .22lr in a rifle. I dont know what model it is because it's not stamped anywhere but I think it's in the Hunter series. It has a ghost mag with synthetic stock. Also has a Simmons scope.

Its what I hunt with, I can shoot 2100 rounds in a few hours and not be sore, just make sure you hold it right

I have always shot Winchester 150. I've shot 130 a few times. But my WallyWorld just jacked up the prices of Winchester so yesterday I stocked up on some Wolf. If its just for fucking around at the range, just get whatevers the cheapest.

I called and it's $13 for Federal and $15 or $16 for Winchester. Is that the higher price? I bought some Remington .308 for about that much a few weeks ago.

It kicks a bit, but nothing that's gonna stay with you. If you don't hold it right, it's not gonna feel great. Shouldn't have a problem...it's what I hunt with on the rare occasions I get to go out. I do want to start shooting it more. I've got a Remington 700 in .270
