Half a mile? I'm not even in shape and I run at least 2 a day.

Maybe you should try running half a mile after you wake up, and another later on in the day and work your way up.

I'm pretty sure he means 1 to 2 miles, not 1/2

20 minutes of cardio is not going to negate your muscle gains if your nutrition is up to par.

30 minutes low impact cardio on the treadmill 5 times a week works for me.

I run about 12 miles per week, including balling like 4 times a week. My muscles don't appear to be going away :dunno:

Percentage-wise though..I usually go up 1-2 miles more a week. But if you can keep it up, more power to you.

In another vein: when will the "oh my god i'm going to get skinny automatically by doing cardio" mindset die? Sheesh. Think about how much you sit on your ass all day for a typical person..half an hour of cardio every day is not going to be catabolic.

Yea in the 220 range so its useless to waste too much doing cardio time I just want to shed some BF and keep muscle.
