I see a few threads on OT here and there about you guys getting lowers and stuff. I don't know a whole lot about AR-15s, but just curious how much is too much for a stripped lower. I see some of you guys happy about what kind of deal you found or whatever. So yeah, again...

    how much is too much?

I saw a S&W stripped lower for $185 local. I guess I should have bought it.

Coworker just bought a stripped Doublestar lower at a gunshow... $300. Way too much, especially when Essential Arms has $100 lowers in stock.

  7. 300 for a complete lower is fine. Figure a lower is 140, lpk is about 65, and stock assembly is about 80. That gets you close to $300.

  9. Put one together then. It's not hard, and it's a lot more fun.

Thinking about it. I wouldn't mind buying either a stripped lower while the price isn't too bad or maybe the complete lower. no hurry to complete it yet. Just like to get the lower for now though.

I don't feel so bad about paying $150 for one back around the election time. :hs:

Anything more than $150 OTD for a standard stripped is overpriced.

i paid $125 for mine right before the election, but then again im in CA and everything is more expensive here :hs:

  15. I think the lowers that Laurel and I bought right before the election were $129 each, from Discount Gun. They've only raised their prices $10. Not terrible.

    $60 for LPK

oh nice. So I'm probably looking at the same DPMS you got.

  21. Yeah. It's perfectly fine. Pretty much any lower is fine, the only real differences are the markings on them. There are billet lowers that cost a lot more, but they're not necessary.

have not seen th e replies, but even with all the insanity going on right now due to the election i'd say you're a doucher if you pay more than $185 or so.

supply and demand still applies though

    150 - 185 is a good price range.

i bought my lower from essential arms and its 118 shipped + 25 FFL fee

I bought my first ar lower at a gun show a year ago and paid 135 OTD for it.

I recently shopped locally for a Lower and the only place to have one in stock wanted 185.

I could have went on a 80 man waiting list and got one for 150 otd.
