I'm thinking about stepping up to the 27"

    24"
    2.93 Core 2 Duo
    4 gigs of ram
    640 gig hard drive
Nvidia gForce GT 120 (256 megs)
    Leopard
    Purchased new in March/April 2009

Not a lot now that Apple released new ones today. Maybe $800 on eBay.

Lol, I knew I should have put it up for sale last week. I was hoping for $1200-$1300. It was $1799 new.

How much you willing to let it go to a fellow OT member?

I was contemplating buying one to replace my desktop so I waited for these new ones to come out. If the deal is good enough I may bite.

Mac2Sell.net values it at $1400. Something makes me think that doesn't take into account the new ones being released today.

Macs really hold their value. I sold a 2 year old MacBook Pro for $1200 a year ago.

Hopefully, that would give you a big chunk towards the new 24". Sucks it wont be shipping until sometime in November.

I wish people would quit quoting a site that has no concept of resale value. It isn't you, it's actually a good few. Laughable, but annoying at the same time. Your resale is a closed auction search on Ebay. That is the going rate, as that is the going place. You'll notice it is about half the idiots at mac2sell's blue sky bullshat quotes.

I have a 20" 2.4ghz 4gb ram 320gb hd 2008 iMac and I'm not selling it. It's a better computer than it's resale is worth so it's more valuable to keep it.

Looking at an eBay closed sale search, $1400 is about right.

I sold it last night to a good friend for $1300. I'm paying $300 out of pocket to upgrade to the 27 inch model, 360 more gigs, and better video card
