I think I'm going to downgrade to an easier camera. 95% of my shots are just of my son or other people, and my camera is just too much (both in size and in features) for what I use it for. More often than not I leave it home because it's just too cumbersome to lug around with everything else we have to bring for the baby.

So here it is, looking to unload asap:

Nikon D70 body (8,018 actuations as of this morning - has updated D70S firmware)

    Nikkor DX AF-S 18-55mm lens
    Nikkor AF 70-210mm lens
    Nikkor AF 50mm 1.8 lens

Nikon SB-600 speedlight (with rechargeable mAh batteries and charger)

    SanDisk UltraII 2gb SD card

Tamrac Adventure 9 backpack (brand new, never seen the outdoors)

    Nikon EN-EL3 battery
    Nikon MH-18 quick charger
    Nikon BM-4 screen cover
    Generic IR remote control
Various other odds and ends (car charger, battery charger, HMC filter, UV filters, 6" table tripod, users manuals for both the camera and flash unit)

Looking to sell this week. My ebay ID is rjpauctions. Located in Southern NH. I'll try to get some pictures this week. If I think of anything else I'll edit.

upgrade your skill, not downgrade your equipment.

Irrelevant, but thanks. I really have no time to upgrade my skill. Photography for me is just one of those hobbies that I don't have time for right now, not to mention it's basically impossible for my wife to use this thing. I gave it to my mom yesterday to take shots of my son's first birthday party, and 75% of them came out awful (even on program mode). It's just too much camera for what I need right now. I've learned a lot about photography and taken some great shots of him, and I'll miss the photo shoots we've done with him, but those are once every 2-3 months. I mean, I'm rarely in any pictures with my son because I'm the only one who knows how to use the damn thing.

    I'm interested in the SB-600, the 70-210, and the 50 :).

Yeah, depending on what I can get, I may part out the entire thing. 10 minutes after I put it on CL I got an offer for $800. I was thinking closer to $1000, not sure if that's realistic.

Hrm. I have gotten a lot of hits on the individual components, but only one offer for the entire package (for 800). Where should I go to find the most accurate used price info for the individual parts? I can repost a price list for the individual parts once I have a better idea, but I really don't know.

    Specs from the D300.
    • Compact Flash Type I or II
    • UDMA *, Microdrive and FAT32 supported
    • 36 characters of text can be input and stored in EXIF header

All I have is SD currently :hs: That's what I get with going with the D50. :o

Just totalled everything up and I can get about $925 for all my gear, if I'm not too far off on prices. How's this?

D70 body with accessories (strap, screen cover, SD card, batteries, chargers) - $400

    18-55 lens - $75

    70-210 lens - $150

    50mm 1.8 - $50

    Bag - $90

    Flash - $175

    Are those close?

If you post some pics I'm sure you can sell this stuff relatively quickly.

Johnny Chimpo was selling an Adventure 9 for $75 a few weeks ago. I dont think he sold it at that price even.

I would say that is pretty accurate. I sold my d70 w/ batteries, chargers & IR remote for $350.

Yeah sorry folks, I had this for sale on about 9 different forums and got an offer locally for the whole package at $900. I sold it last week. I only got one offer from this site from Fusion, and I already spoke to him via PM, so not sure what the ban talk is all about.

Thanks for all the help you've all given me in the last year or two, hopefully someday I'll have time to pick this back up as a hobby.
