new crankshaft front oil seal, all work done at the shop? I believe mine is leaking, and I don't have the tools to do it myself.

I know a new seal costs like $10 max, but getting it installed, i don't want to pay $300.

Well, looks like I can do it myself. All it takes is a few hand tools and the replacement seals.

Balancing shaft...where is this? Drive a 93' Nissan Altima, KA24DE engine. This will be the first time i've ever worked on a car, so thankfuly it's an easy job from what i can see.

I have a KA24DE in my 240 as well. Its laid out pretty simple, nothing too complicated or cramped. Pick up a Chilton's Repair Manual for your car and all will be sorted.
