I think I'm going to sell my computer and use the money elsewhere.. what would be a good price for all of this:

    Athlon 2200+
    512 pc3200 DDr ram
ASUS A7N(??) mb (I'd have to check)
    SB Audigy Gamer Pro
    Windows XP Home
    CD Burner (52x)
    SB Audigy 5.1 speakers
Its got 2 blue catchodes on the inside

    19" monitor (about $350 2 years ago)

It got it working perfectly and will beat most of the new $599 systems out there dell is offering. I'm thinking $750 or so shipped for the tower alone maybe $950 if I include speakers and monitor :dunno:

Asking computer people is probably the last thing you want to do when figuring the price of a computer.

For any of us to build the same thing: (Guessing from your description)
    Mostly from NewEgg...
    $68 Athlon 2200+
    $71 512 pc3200 DDr ram (Manufacture??)
$56 ASUS A7N(??) mb (I'd have to check) (Need more info)
$132 SB Audigy Gamer Pro (model number?)
    $91 Windows XP Home
    $29 DVD-drive (Speed, make?)
    $31 CD Burner (52x) (Make?)
$65 SB Audigy 5.1 speakers (need more info)
$20 Its got 2 blue catchodes on the inside
$175 19" monitor (about $350 2 years ago) (Make and model?)
$55 ATX Mid-Tower Case (Make or model?)
$793... NEW With some warranty! (Compared to the $950 that you have listed.)

Oh and does it have a Hard Drive? Size? Speed Make?
How about video card? Make? Model? Memory?

Is someone asks me if I thought $750 is a good deal, I would say NO.

Or $950 for everything when they can buy Dell for $980 and have warranty and more is an apples to apples compare rather than the $599 model...
    (From Dell)
Pentium® 4 Processor at 2.66GHz with 533MHz front side bus (Faster)
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition (Same)
512MB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 333MHz (faster and Dual Channel)
40GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive (7200 RPM) (No clue add $80 for 120/72K/ATA)
    3.5 in Floppy Drive (Same)
    16x DVD-ROM Drive (??)
    48x CD-RW Drive (Ok 4 x slower! Wahoo!)
    Scroll mouse
19 in CRT Monitor (Not enough info to compare)
Integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics (Not enough info to compare)
    Sound Blaster Audigy™2
Harman Kardon® HK-395 Speakers with Subwoofer
Intel® PRO 10/100 Ethernet (No mention)
56K PCI Data Fax Modem (No mention)
1 Year Limited Warranty plus 1 Year At-Home Service (Missing???)
(And now all the Dell bashing starts...)

Your definitely high on the price. If I was making an offer, I'd think around $450 would be fair.

You'll never get anywhere near what you paid new when you try to resell computer products.
