there are plenty but that info is hard to find. had you tried to search yourself instead of asking others you'd know this.

This is his searching-he found a forum that caters to scifi people & asked.

There are some people out there that would actually know this-not as many as would know about the Enterprise or Millenium Falcon, but still-they are out there :hsugh:

I have seached. How do you think I found how many raiders a basestar can carry? I know how many vipers the galactica is carrying now. I was just wondering how many it carried before the cyclon attack

in the ep where they attack the fuel depot they seemed to have a pathetic ammount of vipers, looked like 15-20 of them and they said they were all in play. :dunno:

that figure though can't really count. they didn't have full capacity of fighters since the Galactica was getting turned into a museum. most of the fighters were probably already removed and transfered elsewhere. atleast it would be hoped they didn't carry such a small number of fighters.

The show designs/specs state 80 Vipers normally. But they don't have that many anymore of course.

So is the new show worth watching? I mean, how good can it be without Starbuck, Apollo, Adama, and Baltar?

Of course, as long as it doesn't have that stupid robot dog... :squint:

The new show friggin rocks. I've seen a few of the cheesy, stupid original series and the new one is miles better. It's a lot darker, more edgey. Starbuck, Apollo, Adama, and Baltar are all in. Baltar has to be one of the best acted characters and Adama is a badass. I also really like Starbuck. :)

The ep where they attacked the fuel depot had to be the best episode ever, in both action and writing.

Wait a minute! I was looking at IMDB, and they turned Starbuck and Boomer into girls? :wtf:

I guess I'll still have to check it out, but :ugh:. For real.

He is, but he's a great character. He was always a quality villain.

Ok, I'm watching the pilot miniseries for the new Galactica.

I'm converted. I don't like Starbuck and Boomer being women (although NOBODY can live up to Dirk Benedict), but they're really doing it right so far.

I downloaded the first season from bittorrent. Who can tell me how far into season 2 we are? I want to catch up before I get too far behind.

All we need now is for Lloyd Bridges to show up commanding the Pegasus.

Season 2 isn't going to air until this summer sometime, and season 1 has finished airing in the uk (not sure how far we are here in the US) so all the episodes are out on the internet already. Its the best scifi on the show right now imo

And yeah it'd be cool for them to 'redo' the living legend episodes of the original, not sure who they could get to replace bridges (RIP) though :hs:

I think they said one landing bay had also been turned into a gift shop.
Probably not many Vipers in there at the time. I think the problem was that they had more Vipers than pilots, but I think they said they had like 50 Vipers(?) at the time. I wonder if they'll find a stash to stock up more? Great series, but I have to watch them as they come out. :hs:

So is Boomer a Cylon? Or did they copy her? That's messed up. I guess they must have kidnapped the real girl and made one like her. After all, I didn't get the impression she was new to the ship.

About to watch ep 2. :o
