a hair under 2500 and i haven't even ripped half my CD's yet.

someday when i get really bored and don't have any projects going on, i'm going to buy a big honkin hard drive and re-rip everything in Apple Lossless and get an AirPort Express so I can listen to my stuff in the living room. (I refuse to play compressed audio in my living room when the CD's are right there, but uncompressed and streaming will work).

I rip everything on my laptop with Apple Lossless format...

    514 songs, 12.89 GB :)

so, at that rate, 25 GB for every 1,000 songs. the way i figure it, i can rip my whole collection in Apple Lossless format to a 250GB drive and have some room to spare.

4430. I used to only bother with the songs I wanted. Now I just get the entire albums to cover all bases.

Everything I rip is 256kbps AAC. I have a good number of 320kbps mp3s as well. Some songs (all downloaded) are less, but i try to get em at 192 or better.
