I usually go with 2 servings right after the gym. I've seen people stating that your body can't process more than 30 g of protein at a time. so whats the deal?

btw the ON WHEY i use has 23g a serving, so im taking 46 grams at a time. is that recommended?

    are you serious?

breakfast was 3oz of chicken, 3 egg whites, 1 whole egg, and 2 scoops whey all blended up. From Fitday, thats 89g of brotein right there. I average 375+g a day.

shoot for 1 - 1.5g per body weight, and get your protein from many sources. eat clean, lift big, get pussy

it is a food source and it's got a better bioavailability than even eggs..so I am gonna say no to that one.

Maybe purely in terms of protein synthesis whey is superior, but whole foods have additional nutritional value, and I think that's what ccrooks meant. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Sorry I deal in grams, or any standard of weight, when I'm talking about macronutrients.

i was being facetious..but i have no idea what a 'serving' is, since every company makes their servings different.

I have no clue, that's just the interpretation I took since the dude said half his calories were from whey.

Sorry, sometimes my internet sarcasm detector is pretty bad. I was like, wait, am I missing something about servings being the next big thing?

Not really half, but for instance, 800 calories came from Whey yesterday. Just didn't know if I was overdoing it. I still eat fish/chicken/other protein, just didn't know if there was a specific downside to consuming that much whey.

with shakes I usually have 1.5 scoops at a time (plus 10g protein from milk) depending on whether or not i'm eating something else with protein.
