    I ordered:

    Alpine cda-9857 HU
    Alpine MRP-F240 4 channel Amp
    Alpine MRD-M605 Mono Amp 900 Watt
    Alpine Type R Sub 10'
    Polk DB570 Speakers

    How many RCA cables do I need to connect all this? And How big should I get? Both amps will be in the trunk or under the passenger seats

    awg = american-wire-guage.

    As for brand it's all up for debate. Personally, I just go to a local shop and they have it on a spool. I used to buy Tsunami. Wirecount is the important thing. www.partsexpress.com sells reasonably priced cable if you want. Otherwise, the kits are okay. Stinger isn't the greatest, but it's not too bad. Do you need a kit? Or are you okay putting it together piece-by-piece?

    I'm going to go to a shop to install my setup..I just want to save as much $$ as possible so I am buying everything online, and just having the guy installing. So, do I need 2 kits because I have 2 amps? I'm clueless with the wiring..

    well, depends on looks. I like to use different colors for ground/positive -- but that's not required.

    I'd do like 20 feet of 4awg red/blue, and then 4-6 feet of 4awg black/clear. Use 2-3 feet for each ground on the black/clear. Then use a long length for the main positive run. You can use a distribution block to split it to each amp. Run an in-line fuse very close the the battery. No more than a foot away, and as close as possible. You do not want the short end to be able to contact any metal and short-out. My last setup the short end was maybe 4-6" long, and the fuse block was double-sided taped to the battery.

    What the hell are you talking about.

    Great product, great prices. Most inexpensive for the quality you get.
