The winner of the open and limited Steel Challenge last year was a guy from japan who trained with airsoft and used a borrowed gun when he got the states. His technique was weird but he beat everbody :dunno:

the way he drew and his stance was weird, he held the gun close to his body too IIRC. I watched it on the outdoor channel this past weekend, he's really good.

he was probably a paintball player, holding an airsoft gun like a paintball gun makes more sense than holding it like a real gun

airsoft is eleventy billion times more popular in Japan than paintball. on top of that, his interview stated he learned to shoot by playing a lot of airsoft has handguns are next to impossible to own in Japan.

but you can believe what you want.
